[INFO] 120616 Save the JAElephants Project Update; Baht 19,000 Donated

Below is an announcement from JYJinEurope, the group that organized the “Save the Jaelephants” project and raised donations of  $900 (~Thai Baht 28,000):

Hello,

We are pleased and proud to inform you that our “Save the Jaelephants” project is coming to an end.

We have started this project after Kim Jaejoong expressed his worries for the situation of elephants, and especially for endangered thaï elephants.

Thanks to your love for JYJ, Jaejoong and the elephants, we have raised a total of $900.

We have already done a donation of BHT 19,000.00 to the “Friends of the Asian elephants”. You can check their website here to understand better how this donation will be used.

The rest of the money will be used to sponsor Hope, an elephant that is taken care of by the Elephant Nature Park. You can read Hope’s story here. You will see that we have chosen this elephant not only for its name that conveys positive feelings and trust in a better future, but also because of it’s story. An elephant that is so faithful and loyal to his friends would, and whose friends are so important in hard times, would of course remind us of JYJ.

The sponsoring of Hope will be done in the next few days due to a different donation process.

We hope that everyone’s support for the elephants won’t stop here, and that you will keep showing interest and concern even in the future.
