[Recap + Review] 120626 Dr. Jin: The Crossroads of KyungTak (Kim Jaejoong) and the Story of a Solitary Life

After episode 10 of Dr. Jin aired, viewers were able to see the cruelty of YongRae and YongHwi toward Kim Kyung Tak (Kim Jaejoong). The character of Kyung Tak has fallen into great misery because of the sudden loss of the two people that he loved, Hong YongRae (Park Min Young) and Hong YongHwi (Jin YiHan). Throughout the drama the childhood of Kim Kyung Tak, Hong Yongrae, and Hong Yonghwi was shown. Kim KyungTak was a bastard child and therefore was teased by those around him. However Hong YongHwi was the only one who was kind to him, so they became best friends. Even through the financial troubles that fell upon Hong YongHwi’s family, Kyung Tak remained a loyal friend.

The attachment KyungTak had with the Hong family even extended to YongHwi’s sister, Hong YongRae. For more than 20 years, KyungTak waited to be married to her. Suddenly YongRae declines the offer to wed, causing Kyung Tak to shed confused tears. When asked the reason for declining the wedding, YongRae states that it is not because of KyungTak’s birth, his father, or any feelings that she might have towards Dr. Jin (Song Seung Hun). In response KyungTak tells her “I would have preferred if you told me you did not want to wed me because of my birth. If so, I could have had a reason to hate you.” At these words, YongRae drops to her knees and says that her action should be punishable by death. However, rather than killing YongRae, KyungTak expresses to her how much she has hurt him. He says, “You have killed me already with your tongue and your words,” before crossing out YongRae’s name which he had carved many years ago on a nearby rock.  Continue reading “[Recap + Review] 120626 Dr. Jin: The Crossroads of KyungTak (Kim Jaejoong) and the Story of a Solitary Life”

[NEWS] 120626 JYJ’s Jaejoong Thought the “Time Slip Dr. Jin” Script Was Cheesy

MBC drama “Time Slip Dr. Jin” recently posted a surprising interview of JYJ‘s Jaejoong on their official website.

In the interview JYJ’s Jaejoong makes a surprisingly frank confession that he thinks his character Kim Kyung Tak’s romantic lines intended for Hong Young Rae (played by Park Min Young) struck him as cheesy.

In his own words, “When I first read my lines I thought they were pretty cheesy. ‘The heavens are not on my side,’ and ‘I’m determined to wait for you ’til the end of time,’  were some of the few cheesy lines assigned to my character.” Jaejoong also admitted feeling concerned that his reaction to these lines might ruin his delivery of them during the filming of the scenes.  Continue reading “[NEWS] 120626 JYJ’s Jaejoong Thought the “Time Slip Dr. Jin” Script Was Cheesy”
